Good Neighbors Mongolia is implementing the “Mitigating the impact of COVID-19 through community-led interventions'' project, funded by the Asian Development Bank and the Republic of Korea e-Asia and Knowledge Partnership Fund. Under the project, an orientation meeting for the 2nd phase of the “My family” development program was successfully organized on April 11-15, 2022.
During the orientation, the program packages were handed over to the 2nd phase participant households, program activities were introduced, and gift packages were presented to the 25 best participant households selected from the 1st phase of the program.
A total of 478 households from Chingeltei, Nalaikh and Songinokhairkhan districts, and Darkhan-Uul province are participating in the second phase of the “My family” development program, which will last for 12 weeks.
The program aims to improve understanding of each other for family members, increase quality time together, and create a positive family atmosphere while each member participates in the completion of creative assignments and discussions. Successful implementation of the program will open the door for prevention of domestic violence by helping the participant families to learn the attitude and practice of listening, understanding, and supporting each other, and creating healthy family relationships.
