Children do not have to wait for change to happen. They can take the initiative and make it happen themselves! 💚

A great example is the initiative led by 15 members of the “Rights Holders” Children’s Rights Club, established under Good Neighbors Mongolia.

🏫 What did the children do?

To improve the learning and recreational environment for students at General Education School No. 44, the club members took action by:

🎨 Renovating the school walls;
🪑 Conducting a needs assessment to identify the furniture and equipment required by students;
📚 Setting up a dedicated corner to share information and raise awareness about children’s rights.

✨ Turning Initiative into Real Change

The children created a dedicated children’s rights information corner, along with a welcoming space where students can spend their free time productively, talk together, and exchange ideas and opinions.

What makes this initiative particularly meaningful is that the children themselves identified the needs and took the lead in creating these improvements through their own ideas and active participation.

Through their efforts, they demonstrated how children’s voices and meaningful participation can bring positive changes to their school environment. 💚
