Good Neighbors

📣The 'Earth Hour' training for environmental education was organized.

In order to provide ecological education and raise awareness among young people about climate change and environmental issues, the “Earth Hour” training was successfully organized in collaboration with the “Freshwater Resources and Nature Conservation Center” for students of the Eco Club of Schools No. 34, 41, and 60 of Khan-Uul District.

The training aimed to increase knowledge about environmental pollution and climate change, and to encourage students to become active participants in addressing global environmental challenges. The sessions were led by specialists from the “Freshwater Resources and Nature Conservation Center” and covered the following key topics:

  • Sustainable development and climate change

  • Environmental laws and ecological rights

  • Biodiversity

  • Natural resource management

  • Renewable energy and green technology

  • Causes and consequences of environmental pollution

  • Traditional customs related to nature conservation

After the training, students had the opportunity to visit the center’s museum of rare and endangered animal specimens, guided by professional explanations. The museum showcases a variety of Mongolia’s native wildlife, including 6 species of fish, 4 species of mammals, 2 species of reptiles, 4 species of amphibians, 15 species of birds, and 20 species of insects.

As a result of the program, students deepened their understanding of environmental issues and strengthened their motivation to cherish and protect nature. We express our sincere gratitude to the team at the Freshwater Resources and Nature Conservation Center and Director Kh. Purevsuren for their support and collaboration, and we wish them continued success in their future endeavors.
