Empowering School Psychologists through SEL Training under the “Gerel Asaa II” Project

The training was led by Ms. Yi-Hsuan Wu, Professor at the Department of Child and Family Studies at National Taiwan Normal University, along with her colleague Ms. Li-Ting, both of whom are developers of the “SEL in Taiwan” program.

As part of the “Good Mind and Soul” project aimed at supporting adolescents’ mental well-being, a capacity-building training was successfully organized for school psychologists from general education schools in Darkhan-Uul and Orkhon provinces. The training introduced participants to the methodology of Taiwan’s Social Emotional Learning (SEL) program, which brought a unique and innovative approach to the session.

Participants gained both theoretical knowledge and practical skills related to the SEL framework. In addition, they enhanced their professional competencies through the use of emotion and coping card techniques designed for working with children, adolescents, and adults. The training provided valuable international insights and tools for professional growth.

We extend our sincere appreciation to all those who participated and contributed to the success of the training.
